Happy Anniversary To Us

We are so happy to say that Aubrey's appointment with the neurologist this morning went incredibly well. What a wonderful woman. She spent nearly an hour with us, asking us questions, answering our questions, and examining Aubrey. She concluded that Bree does have hypotonia, but that it is very mild. She also felt like it was not connected to any neurological problems. So basically what this means is that Aubrey will eventually meet all of her physical milestones, but that it will take her longer then the average baby because she has to work a lot harder then the average baby. She said it is less about CAN she do it, and more about does she WANT to do it. A lot of it has to do with how big she was when she was born, and the rate at which she has grown after she was born. Because she was born with little muscle tone, and a lot of squishy (cute) fat, she will have a hard time catching up...but she will!!! She recommended that we continue taking Bree to physical therapy in order to strengthen her muscle tone, and then to come back in about 3 months and have her looked at again. If at that point she hasn't progressed enough (who knows what enough is) then they will do some tests. But the good news is that the neurologist really expects that Bree will be just fine!

We feel so blessed. During all of this we have been amazed at all of the love and support we've recieved from all of out family and friends. We felt the prayers that you offered on Aubrey's behalf and on our behalf, and we know it helped. Now it is time to offer prayers of gratitude! And even though we won't be doing anything special to celebrate our anniversary today, it is still a very happy anniversary.

We included some pictures we took this weekend. We decided to go up to sundance just to get away from the valley heat and be in nature. We had a great time looking at the shops, art, and other cool stuff:)
