Something has happened. There has been a shift in the universe or something. What once was a predictable and easy task, has now turned into a dreadful game of chance. My baby doesn't like to go to sleep anymore. Now, this isn't to say that she wants to be awake more...it just means she naps less, and for shorter periods, making her incredibly cranky. It all started about a week ago when her morning nap (which is usually the longest nap of the day, lasting at least 2 hours) ended after only 20 minutes. I just figured it was one of those days, and we would get back on track the next day. Boy was I wrong. Everyday since then naps have been a battle. A catnap isn't enough for this little girl, so she gets crazy tired, and has a bad day, which makes me grumpy and irritable, then I don't get anything done, then Matt comes home to a messy house and no food and feels frustrated, and it is all a vicious cycle. Aubrey is also getting incredibly attached to us, and prefers not to be alone now. So, when one of us leaves the room she will cry and cry until we walk back where she can see us, at which point she will smile and giggle at us like we're playing a game. How can she be so cute and so annoying at the same time??? This parenting stuff ain't no joke.
